Dell's Premier Sleeve for XPS 13 is stylish but pricey

When you've spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on a Dell XPS 13, you want to keep it safe and looking its best. The XPS 13 is one of the most portable Windows ultrabooks on the market, and it's perfect for throwing in a bag and taking out on the road with you throughout your daily life. But with every trip comes the risk of scratches, dents, and general wear and tear taking its toll on your expensive laptop.

The Dell Premier Sleeve for the XPS 13 is pricey at $50, but it's a stylish case tailored to the laptop. Uou can drop the XPS 13 in and out o the sleeve with ease. The exterior has a strange feel, but it's splashproof at least. Unfortunatley, it also marks easily. The interior is a soft, red microfiber that won't scratch your XPS 13 over time.

The sides are rigid when the laptop is inside, but the whole thing collapses flat when it's not. The Premier Sleeve is really lightweight but still sturdy, and it closes over the top of your XPS 13 with a magnetic latch.

This sounds more impressive than it actually is. The magnets aren't particularly strong, but the two flaps across the top stay closed when the laptop is inside. You just flip them up when you need to and pull out the laptop.

That's all there is to it really. Aside from the price, there's no real downside to the Premier Sleeve. Being an official Dell product it carries a premium, and at $50 it is a bit of a big ask. It's a nice sleeve though, and it looks the part while keeping your laptop safe.
