DOOM launch trailer gets us locked and loaded for its May 13 release

id Software and Bethesda Softworks have released the launch trailer for the upcoming revamp of DOOM. The trailer shows more footage from the single player campaign of the first-person shooter, which will be released on May 13 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The trailer shows a lot of shooting, tons of blood and the game's new set of monsters and demons who want to make the player character dead. While the footage is just of the single-player campaign, DOOM will also feature multiplayer modes as well. It also comes with Snapmap, its editing tool that should make it easy for user to make and share their own single player and multiplayer maps.

You can still pre-order DOOM at the Microsoft Store for the price of $59.99. People who pre-order the Xbox One digital version will get the original DOOM and DOOM II for the Xbox 360, both of which can also be played on the Xbox One. People who pre-purchase DOOM on Steam for the PC will get a free digital copy of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.
