AMD launches first Ryzen desktop processors with Radeon Vega graphics

Following their debut at CES 2018, AMD has launched its first Ryzen desktop chips with integrated Radeon Vega graphics. The two chips, which include the $169 Ryzen 5 2400G and $99 Ryzen 3 2200G, are aimed at those looking to build a budget PC with a bit of extra graphical power.

As for specs, the Ryzen 5 2400G comes backed with four CPU cores, eight threads, and a boost clock of 3.9GHz. Its graphical prowess is pushed by 11 compute units and a max GPU clock of 1250MHz. The Ryzen 3 2200G is powered by four CPU cores and four threads, with a max boost clock of 3.7GHz. That's backed up by eight graphics compute units and a 1100MHz max GPU clock.

Its safe to say that neither chip is going to push any modern games to their max, but they should offer up enough power to push games like Overwatch, League of Legends, or World of Warcraft at respectable framerates and graphical fidelity. In terms of how they compare to the competition, AMD claims the Ryzen 5 2400G can push up to 156 percent more graphics performance than the Intel Core i5-8400.

If you're interested in either processor, you can pick up the Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G at Amazon and other retailers now.
