It doesn't matter how long you've been using it, if you're invested in Groove Music Microsoft just dealt you a hammer blow. Music is a pretty major part of any ecosystem, and you probably settled on Groove because you enjoyed using it.
Now you have to look elsewhere, and that's the topic of a discussion in the Windows Central forums.
Groove Music Pass subscriber here, fully invested in MS ecosystem including a 950XL. I'm a big fan of Groove and disappointed to say the least, but it is what it is. Starting to look around at options but so far, nothing appears to be a direct replacement. No OneDrive integration with Spotify and it looks like the app is garbage on Windows 10 Mobile. Similar situation with Amazon Unlimited...

One of the issues lies in the OneDrive integration with Groove, which allowed you to mix your own music with your streaming music. That's hard to replicate, and if you're still clinging to a Windows phone you're going to come up short.
Personally, I moved my streaming music to Tidal before the death of Groove, entirely for the lossless streams. I've been very happy with it, and it's very usable on Windows 10 and Mobile thanks to an unofficial app that, for now at least, continues to work well.
