Chime in: What do you think of Microsoft's new Marimekko Surface Pro accessories?

The fashion-forward Surface Pro keyboard covers are made of the Alcantara fabric that's so associated with the Surface lineup these days, and they're available in two different patterns. They don't come cheap, however; they're $179.99, or $20 more than the Surface Pro Signature Type Cover and $50 more than the regular Type Cover without Alcantara.

There are also Marimekko sleeves and skins for Surface Pro.

I'm all for the idea of making more stylish Surface Pro accessories, and I think doing so is a real opportunity for Microsoft, not only to sell more Surface accessories but to bump up the "cool factor" associated with the brand. I also like how the Type Covers are made of Alcantara, so they feel like true Surface add-ons. There's a thread in our forums dedicated to these new Surface Pro covers from Marimekko.

Microsoft's latest Surface Pro accessories feature some fairly flamboyant designs from Finnish-company Marimekko. These new Type Covers definitely aren't cheap ($180), but they're certainly unique. The designs lean toward the feminine side of things, I think, but they're still quite cool. And I like the idea of Microsoft making more stylish Type Covers. What do you think of the Marimekko...
