Dirt Rally 2.0 should get Oculus Rift support this summer

A few years ago, Dirt Rally surprised everyone with its challenging gameplay and tight handling mechanics. While the visuals may not have been on the level of a game like Forza Motorsport 7, the gameplay was loved by many. Everyone assumed that Dirt Rally would be a one-off deal, but a few months ago, Codemasters announced Dirt Rally 2.0. From what we saw during the trailer, it seems like a marked improvement over Dirt Rally. Not only does it look better, but it has even more features this time around.

It seems like a lot of gamers were requesting Oculus support for Dirt 2.0, and Codemasters made it happen. Today, the game's official Twitter account said, "We heard you. Oculus heard you." Dirt Rally 2.0 is coming to Oculus Rift this summer. It'll take a few months to implement the support. It's great to see that virtual reality is being incorporated into the experience.

Dirt Rally 2.0 starts from $59.99 and grants you some rather good preorder bonuses like the Porsche 911 RGT Rally Spec, Fiat 131 Abarth Rally, and Alpine Renault A110 1600 S. These are some amazing vehicles to have in your virtual garage! The game supports Xbox One X so it should look phenomenal in 4K 60 FPS on the console. Unfortunately, the console doesn't support virtual reality.

Dirt Rally 2.0 should launch on February 26, 2019. Aside from being the official game of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, you can explore new locations like New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia, and the United States. There are also over fifty historic and modern-day rally cars this time around.
