Deep Rock Galactic gets an Open Alpha weekend on PC, Xbox version in 2018

As a team of dwarven space miners, you take on dangerous missions for a corporation. The game is all about teamwork, and communication matters. If you want to try out the game, be sure to check out Deep Rock Galactic's final Open Alpha Weekend on PC before the title heads to Early Access next year.

Coffee Stain Publishing and Ghost Ship Games want gamers to join the final Open Alpha Weekend from November 9 to November 12, 2017. The developers first began recruiting gamers when it entered Closed Alpha on Steam in December 2016. Surprisingly, since then tens of thousands have experienced the title. If you sign up before midnight on November 6, you can be one of those too.

The Open Alpha Weekend gives players limited access to a smaller set of caves, but there is also a brand new mission that needs testing. If you play Motherlode, you have to gather unique and invaluable resources in an extremely perilous breeding ground.

Deep Rock Galactic began life as Project Dwarka, and was a concept for a future Xbox exclusive by Press Play Games. Sadly, Microsoft shuttered the studio, leading to the creation of Ghost Ship Games, and the revival of the Dwarka concept.

Deep Rock Galactic is heading to Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview — for Xbox One and Windows 10 — in 2018. If you happen to be attending Paris Games Week, you can play the title from November 1 to November 5, 2017. Deep Rock Galactic is also being enhanced for Xbox One X.
