Elgato has already made a name for itself in the game streaming community with its suite of capture cards and Stream Deck, and now it's taking a step into studio lighting. The company today revealed Key Light, a compact alternative to traditional studio lighting that lets you take control of the light temperature and brightness with software controls on your PC.

Key Light attaches to your desk with a relatively small clamp, cutting down on the amount of space you'd typically have to take up with studio lights. The pole underneath each light is also fully height adjustable. Once in place, software controls allow you to make changes to the light output on the fly with sliders for color temperature and brightness.

What's more, the Key Lights are compatible with Elgato's Stream Deck, which can be configured to allow you to make changes to your lights with the touch of a single button.

The Elgato Key Light is set to launch of January 14 and is available to preorder now for $200.
