Epic new Battlefield V trailer highlights 'Companies' and combat roles

As Gamescom 2018 rages on in Germany, EA rolled out a new trailer for Battlefield V, the next entry in the series set for release in October. Full of epic battles, explosions, and landscapes, this latest trailer is all about the synergy between different combat roles and your Company.

The trailer comes as EA and NVIDIA jointly announced this week that the Battlefield V open beta will launch for everyone on September 6 for all platforms. But if you preorder the deluxe edition, you'll be able to head into battle a little earlier on September 4.

Battlefield V pits players in the middle of World War II, with the first multiplayer campaign focusing on the fall of Europe at the war's start. Following the initial launch, EA will roll out further multiplayer campaigns that run the course of World War II in the battle between the Axis and Allies.

Battlefield V is set for launch on October 19, but anyone subscribed to EA Access will get early access starting on October 11. And if you're playing on Xbox One X, EA has confirmed that the game will run in 4K with HDR and support for variable refresh rates. For now, you can preorder Battlefield V for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC starting at $59.99.
