Final Fantasy XIV on PC gets Monster Hunter: World crossover event

During the Square Enix E3 2018 media briefing, the publisher announced that Final Fantasy XIV was getting a crossover event with Monster Hunter: World. Final Fantasy XIV is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) which came out in 2013 on PC. Since then, the game has received numerous updates and boasts a significant fan following. You'll soon be able to take on a "Primal" in Final Fantasy XIV which is a class of massive monsters from the Monster Hunter universe. Other beasts like the Cactuar and Rathalos will also be joining the game.

It's unclear when the event will start but Square Enix told gamers to "stay tuned" for further details this summer. The Primal will be part of a Full Active Time Event (FATE) soon. FATE occur at random while exploring the world in Final Fantasy XIV. You can team up with other players to take down massive beasts because it's impossible to do so on your own.

Monster Hunter: World isn't being left behind though. A Final Fantasy XIV creature knowns as the "Behemoth" will join the game.

We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more about the mash-up. Until then, be sure to check out Final Fantasy XIV because the MMORPG remains a thrilling experience even after all these years. The game's success can be attributed to the phenomenal post-launch support.
