First original Xbox game hits EA Access for Xbox One

Electronic Arts continues to expand EA Access for Xbox One – its monthly subscription service for EA titles on the console. Providing access to an extensive library of recent games via the "Vault," pre-release trials and other benefits, the subscription offers unbeaten value across the publisher's games.

"Black" has now made its debut through the EA Access Vault – the first backward compatible original Xbox game to do so. The stylized first-person shooter can now be downloaded for free with a subscription, which provides full access to its single-player campaign as it shipped 12 years ago. At the time, Black was praised for its graphics and robust gunplay mechanics.

Like all backward compatible games on Xbox One, there are some minor upgrades too. Black can be experienced at a higher resolution on all Xbox One consoles, with 16 times the pixel count on Xbox One X.

To download Black on your Xbox One console, open the "EA Access Hub" app and the game will appear among the recent additions to the Vault. Alternatively, those without an EA Access subscription can purchase the game digitally for $9.99.
