Forza Horizon 4 launched a few weeks ago, and gamers are loving the open-world racing experience. The game features upgraded visuals and a shared world for an even more community-focused experience. The user feedback seems to be great, and the title has also garnered a lot of critical acclaim from numerous outlets. The game currently sits at a 92 on Metacritic from almost eighty reviews. It appears that the critical success has also translated to more sales.

Today, Microsoft announced that Forza Horizon 4 crossed two million players in the first week alone. The developer issued the following statement discussing the player count on Xbox One and PC.

It has been one week since we launched Forza Horizon 4 and we are humbled by the overwhelmingly positive feedback we continue to receive from players around the world. We are proud to say that in this first week alone, there are currently two million players driving around Forza Horizon 4's Britain. On behalf of everyone at Playground Games, thank you for supporting Forza Horizon 4 and making the game such a success! More than 4.6 million hours of Forza Horizon 4 gameplay have been watched across Mixer, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.

It's great to see that the game is doing this well. Another report that came out over the weekend suggested that Forza Horizon 4 has doubled its launch player count over Forza Horizon 3. This might be a result of Xbox Game Pass because the game is available for free to anyone who subscribes to the service for $9.99 a month.
