How do I toggle Rogue in The Division 2?

The Division 2 brings back the first game's Rogue mechanic from the Dark Zone and make it a whole lot amenable. You'll no longer find yourself accidentally going Rogue when you didn't intend to. The Division 2 makes it easy to go Rogue with one simple button press:

  1. Press and hold the Menu button on your Xbox One controller.

There's no step two because that's it. That's all you need to do. One button and you're Rogue!

What does going Rogue do?

Going Rogue in The Division 2 essentially puts a target on your back in the Dark Zone. While you're now open to pursue and kill other Agents, players are also alerted to your immediate presence. The higher your notoriety status is, the better rewards you may receive.

Are there other ways to go Rogue?

Yes. Players can also go Rogue by performing illicit activities like looting chests, stealing extraction point drops, and hacking terminals.

How do I remove my Rogue status?

Rogue status isn't infinite, meaning that if you wait out a timer it will eventually go away. Players can also remove the Rogue status by visiting a Thieves' Den or dying and respawning. It should be noted, however, that only the lowest tier Rogue's can enter a Thieves' Den. If you are either a Disavowed or Manhunt Rogue, you will be unable to remove your status through this method. For Manhunt Rogues, you can attempt to hack a Manhunt terminal and remove your status.
