Leonardo drawing and painting app is now available from the Microsoft Store

Leonardo, arguably one of the best drawing apps for anyone using Windows 10, is now available from the Microsoft Store. It's still in its beta stage, but it's become a go-to for many creative types who want to get the most out of their active pen and touch display.

The Store version of Leonardo uses the same code base as the original desktop version (brought over with Microsoft Bridge) and provides a simple, speedy user interface that scales to any size display, an infinite canvas, line, and grid drawing support and a ton of brushes and tools.

For the time being, custom and saved brushes will not be a feature in the Store version of Leonardo, but they are expected to be re-introduced sometime in 2019. While Leonardo is in its beta stage, you can save $40 off of the $80 price tag and receive the full upgrade once it moves to a full release.

If you'd like to try Leonardo before buying, you can still check out a limited demo at its official website. If you're looking for some other great apps you can use with your active pen, be sure to check out our roundup of the 10 best Windows apps for Surface Pen users.
