Microsoft issues bug-fixing update for Windows Insider build 18312

Microsoft may not have another major build in the hopper for Windows Insiders on the Fast ring today, but it is pushing out an update meant to fix issues for last week's build. Coming as a small update to build 18312, the latest release pushes the build number up to 18312.1007 (KB4487181) and includes three fixes for some lingering issues.

Here's a full look at what's included:

  • We fixed an issue resulting in File Explorer unexpectedly having a lock on USBs when trying to safely eject them.
  • We fixed an issue resulting in frequent bugchecks (GSODs) in the last two flights, citing an error with bindflt.sys.
  • We fixed an issue where a password change can result in the next unlock hanging for AD users.

If you're a Windows Insider enrolled in the Fast ring, you should be able to download this small cumulative update via Windows Update now.
