Microsoft this week began rolling out a fresh firmware update for Surface Go devices, bringing tweaks to the display calibration. Specifically, the update adjusts power setting behaviors after installing the Windows 10 October 2018 update.

This is the first firmware update that Surface Go has seen since one focused on system stability rolled out to the device in early August.
Given Microsoft pulled the October 2018 Update shortly after releasing it to the public, most Surface Go owners are unlikely to have experienced any incorrect power setting behaviors unless they went out of their way to install the update ahead of time. Still, it's an important tweak to get out the door before the October 2018 Update resumes its public rollout.
