PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) Xbox controller debuts with trigger grips in tow

One of the biggest bits of news to come out of Microsoft's Gamescom 2018 broadcast is that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is coming out of Game Preview in September, but Microsoft had another surprise in store for fans of the battle royale title as well. The latest entry in Microsoft's massive lineup of controllers is the new PUBG Limited Edition controller, which sports a fittingly battle-hardened look and an all-new feature: trigger grips.

The design of the controller is pretty unique, featuring a black digital camo paint job and grey buttons. The left stick pops out with a blue circle around its exterior, while the right stick falls in the center of a crosshair. The D-pad also makes itself known with a distressed gold pattern that really stands out.

The biggest highlight here, however, are those triggers. This is the first Xbox controller to feature grips on the triggers, which should help you keep your fingers in place even during the sweaty final moments of a match.

The PUBG Limited Edition controller will hit retail and online stores on October 30 for $69.99, but it's available for preorder now from Microsoft.
