Let the hunt begin: Predator brings the ultimate fight to Ghost Recon Wildlands

Final Fantasy XV got an Assassin's Creed Festival and Soulcalibur V featured Ezio Auditore from the same franchise. However, it looks like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands beats them all with its Predator mash-up. The Predator is a fictional alien species featured in the Predator franchise. Their culture seems to revolve around trophy hunting other dangerous species for sport, including humans and the grotesque Aliens.

Today, Ubisoft announced a partnership with FoxNext Games that will bring exclusive Predator content to Ghost Recon Wildlands on December 14, 2017. The Predator will be part of the Jungle Storm update on Xbox One, Windows PC, and PlayStation 4. Starting December 14 until early January, all players of Ghost Recon Wildlands will be able to face the Predator in the game's ultimate hunt. This new Special Challenge is playable alone or with up to four-player and is the most difficult fight of the game.

Upon defeating the Predator, players are rewarded with exclusive items, such as the Predator mask. As expected, the Predator mask offers the renowned Predator vision. Players can also customize and arm themselves with the Predator Pack, which includes fifteen new items like weapons and combat moves.

Nouredine Abboud, Senior Producer at Ubisoft, issued the following statement to the press alongside the Predator mash-up announcement.

At Ubisoft Paris, we have been fans of the Predator movie for a long time and are thrilled to bring such an iconic character to our game. The challenge is full of references to the original Predator movie and we cannot wait to see the reaction from our players.

The Predator seems like a perfect fit for the Bolivian jungle setting of Ghost Recon Wildlands. Just like the films, you need to use a variety of tactics to take the creature out.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world military shooter entirely playable in four-player co-op from beginning to end. Gamers have total freedom to accomplish their missions how they want. According to Ubisoft, each choice has a consequence, and players must improvise or adapt their plans to ensure the completion and success of each mission.
