Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is slated to shortly kick off its Year 4 updates, delivering a new wave of seasonal content for the hit tactical shooter. As previously detailed, Rainbow Six Siege's first season of 2019 is headed to Australia, packing a new themed map and two playable Operators. And now Ubisoft has formally named the expansion, dubbed Operation Burnt Horizon.

Operation Burnt Horizon explores the Australian Outback, paired with two Operators hailing from the region's Special Air Service Regiment (SASR). As detailed via the official Rainbow Six blog, the duo will bring two new gadgets to multiplayer:

Year Four Season One is all set to go, featuring two new operators from the SASR. One's a stoic Attacker who's just there to get the job done, and the other is a quick-witted Defender who's in it for the guts and glory. Two old mates from way back, they've signed up with Rainbow to bring a little Aussie know-how to the other side of the world. This includes a new device that'll keep roaming Defenders on their toes, and one that'll leave Attackers at a bit of a loss.

Most notably, both Operators align with previous alleged leaks of "Mozzie" and "Gridlock." If true, we expect the debut of a proximity-based "red web tracker" for attackers, alongside a drone-hacking gadget for defenders.

Could this be our first look at Burnt Horizon's Gridlock and Mozzie?

A brief tease of Operation Burnt Horizon's accompanying multiplayer map has also surfaced, promising "a slice of the red desert." The locale looks to host close-quarters encounters, situated within an isolated service station.

Ubisoft is now gearing up for a full reveal of Operation Burnt Horizon, and an accompanying Year 4 roadmap, with regular teasers expected in the weeks ahead. The final unveiling is currently scheduled for February 17, 2019, at the Six Invitational in Montreal.

With Year 4 around the corner, Rainbow Six Siege is now available for $25 via Amazon.
