Rainbow Six Siege could get Xbox One X upgrade next month

Ubisoft previously announced that Rainbow Six Siege would get a long-awaited Xbox One X upgrade, following its inital launch in 2015. Today, the publisher has announced its patch is set to hit the console with the Operation Para Bellum expansion, expected to launch on June 5 or June 6, 2018.

The company issued the following statement highlighting the differences between the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro versions.

We have increased the resolution to 1728p on the Xbox One X, and 1440p on the PlayStation 4 Pro, while maintaining 50 percent render scaling... We are currently working on dynamically increasing the render scaling when performance allows it. This will allow for better render quality in low-complexity scenes, while maintaining 60 FPS at all times by adjusting the render scaling dynamically.

Its Xbox One X upgrade is looking promising, with superior visuals over competing consoles. Hopefully this trend will continue in the future as more and more developers shift toward the industry's top-tier consoles.

These graphical enhancements will debut under a wider expansion on its way to Rainbow Six Siege, known as Operation Para Bellum. Other contents include two Operators, the new multiplayer map "Villa", an upgrade to the existing Clubhouse map and much more.
