Resident Evil Revelations HD is coming to Xbox One on August 29th, 2017

Resident Evil Revelations launched originally on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2012. While the mainline Resident Evil series chased action-oriented horror gameplay (sadly), Revelations tried to rake it in a little, emulating the tense resource management and dark atmosphere of the original trilogy.

While few people would call Resident Evil Revelations one of the greatest games in the series, it's certainly one of the better spin-offs, warranting ports to the Xbox 360 and the PS3 during the previous console generation.

Resident Evil Revelations is now making the full HD leap to Xbox One and PS4 on August 29th, 2017, with a Nintendo Switch version planned for later in the year.

Resident Evil Revelations takes place between Resident Evil 4 and 5, following franchise staples Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they infiltrate a seemingly abandoned cruise ship, the "Queen Zenobia."

Things go south as you might expect, and all sorts of nautical nasties emerge from the depths to try and murder Jill and Chris, as they fight to prevent the virus from spreading to the ocean itself.

Resident Evil Revelations goes all the way up to 1080p on Xbox One, and enjoys new lighting effects, texture improvements, and a fresh pass on animation quality. All previous DLC will be bundled with the game, in addition to Raid Mode, which allows co-op partners to fight waves of mutants and zombies arcade style.

You can pre-order Resident Evil Revelations below for the reasonable price of $19.99, ahead of its August 29th, 2017 launch.
