Surface Laptop now available with 1TB of storage

If you've been holding out on buying a Surface Laptop to get the most storage possible, you're in luck. The Surface Laptop is now available with a 1TB storage option, doubling its previous capacity cap of 512GB.

However, if maximum storage is at the top of your list, you'll have to settle for limitations in other areas. The 1TB option is only available with the Surface Laptop in platinum, so you won't be able to deck yours out in cobalt, burgundy, or gold colors.

The 1TB model is also only available with 16GB of RAM and Intel's Core i7 processor. Essentially, you'll have to be willing to go all in on specs if you want the most storage possible. That'll net you a decent amount of power, in addition to Intel's Iris Plus 640 graphics, but it'll cost you a pretty penny ($2,699 to be exact).

In any case, the 1TB Surface Laptop is up for grabs now. There's no word on whether we can expect the storage option to be available with other colors in the future, but if you're okay with platinum, you can pick one up now at Microsoft.
