Turtle Beach introduces new Stealth 300 and Recon 200 headsets at E3 2018

Following up on LucidSounds new headset lineup, Turtle Beach is the next gaming accessory maker to out a pair of new headsets at E3 2018. The company today unveiled its new Recon 200 and Stealth 300 multiplatform headsets, and there's quite a bit to like here if you're a Turtle Beach fan – particularly if you're conscious of pricing.

First up is the new Stealth 300, which comes in Xbox and PlayStation flavors, the differences between which come down to styling. For the Xbox version, the Stealth 300 is decked out in a green and black color scheme and features a headband that's reinforced by metal. The headset hooks into consoles and mobile devices with a 3.5mm jack, along with a glasses-friendly design and a mic that can be muted by flipping it up.

Otherwise, the Stealth 300 totes 50mm drivers for booming sound, along with support for Windows Sonic for Headphones and Dolby Atmos. The ear cups are also packed with memory foam, and there are four dedicated EQ presets to tweak the sound priority for bass, vocals, and more. Turtle Beach is touting up to 30 hours of gameplay with the headset's rechargeable battery.

As for the Recon 200, the least expensive of the two, the headset is available in black or white options and also works over a 3.5mm jack with consoles and mobile devices. The same flip-up mic is in use here, with the ability to mute your voice input at any time. Powering the sound are 40mm drivers here, and there's also support for Windows Sonic for Headphones and Dolby Atmos.

Again, Turtle Beach has packed in a metal-reinforced headband, along with memory foam in the ear cups. For battery life, you're looking at 12 hours on a charge here.

The Recon 200 is expected to launch sometime in the fall for $59.95. Meanwhile, The Stealth 300 is expected for a July launch at $79.95.

Lastly, if you follow Microsoft's game streaming service, Mixer, Turtle Beach announced it is partnering up with one of the platform's biggest streamers, Siefe. For his streams, Siefe will be leaning on Turtle Beach's Elite Pro headset.
