Warhammer: Vermintide 2 'Back to Ubersreik' DLC adds levels from the prequel (update)

Updated December 12, 2018: Back to Ubersreik will be coming on December 18, 2018 to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a melee action game with co-op gameplay. You, along with three other players, have to battle seemingly endless hordes of enemies in a gothic setting. The title introduces the dark, bloody, and twisted "Chaos" faction as the new enemy. However, that doesn't mean you won't be slaughtering legions of them. Other new features include expanded careers, environments, skill trees, and much more.

Today, developer Fatshark announced that it's bringing back "Horn of Magnus," as well as two more levels from the first Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide. The "Back to Ubersreik" DLC will arrive in December 2018, and will take nostalgic players back. According to the team, Horn of Magnus and other stages from the original game have been overhauled and remastered.

Horn of Magnus is quite possibly the most popular map from the first game, so it's understandable as to why Fatshark wants to bring it back. It seems like which maps will make a return is governed by how much they were played the first time around.

You can either purchase Warhammer: Vermintide 2 outright, starting at $29.99, or play it through Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Game Pass membership costs $9.99 each month so be sure to check it out if you want a Netflix-style subscription for games. Unlike competing services, you don't have to stream games across the internet.
