Xbox Insiders can now filter store by price, rating and capabilities

Let's say you wanted to buy an "E" rated game under $10 which has at least four stars. It just isn't possible to search for those parameters on Xbox One at the moment. You would have to go to other websites or research games individually. There should've been a built-in solution to begin with because a console experience is meant to be contained and complete. Luckily, that's about to change very soon for everyone!

Today, Xbox Live's Director of Programming Larry Hryb said that Xbox Insiders — from all Preview rings — can now filter games "by price, star rating, capabilities, and more in the store". This is a welcome addition but a lot of work still needs to be done. Even years later the layout isn't ideal and discovering smaller experiences remains a challenge.

If you're an Xbox Insider, be sure to check out these changes. What else would you like to see updated in the store? Let us know. Hopefully the update to the store will roll out to everyone soon. Usually Microsoft Store updates are available to the wider community much sooner than traditional updates. Microsoft allows you to download them as a standard patch because the Microsoft Store shows up in the Updates section of My games & apps.
